Guilty as charged...

In a recent Courier Times article, my honorable Republican opponent for this fall's District 54 race, Tom Saunders,
states that "Rex wants you to do away with a lot of government, but I'm not sure that's what the public wants." He's right about me wanting to do away with a lot of government.

Somebody once said that the definition of insanity was doing the same thing over and over, and expecting different results. I wouldn’t go so far as to say that we are insane, but I do believe we have become complacent in voting for the two major parties. We continue to vote for politicians that shuffle and raise taxes instead of controlling spending. When we grow tired of one party’s spending habits, we replace them with another party with similar spending habits. If we are going to control government spending, we have to start sending a different type of representative to Indianapolis.

I hope you will allow me to be that representative.
